Because I know y’all have been dying to see this… My coworkers and I dressed up as fruits and vegetables for Take Our Children to Work Day
Two weekends ago (5/21) I went rock climbing at the Gunks in New Paltz, NY with two of my co-workers Faith and Ethan. It was my first time climbing outside after being in a gym for over a year, a little scary, but very exciting. It definitely won’t be my last time climbing outdoors.
Last Thursday, the sauce & beverage group had our community service project helping Heart of Camden to help gut a house in preparation for renovation so a new family can move in. I never thought that I would be swinging a sledgehammer, but I guess you just never know!
Yesterday, started out the evening at happy hour at Positano Coast, a bar in Philadelphia. It was great- good drinks and a nice open-air atmosphere. I highly recommend the lemon drop- $5 during happy hour and a pretty good deal as far as getting what you pay for.
So I was recently introduced to the most amazing coffee. I do not say that just because I can trade Tim Tam’s for it, but it is also extremely delicious. One of the other Campbell’s co-ops Erica Story, her husband Bryan works for Larry’s Beans Fair Trade and Organic Coffee Company, which is based in Raleigh, NC. I have only tried the El Salvador Dali blend, but I am quite sure that the others are equally good. I highly suggest you order some online if you are not in the Raleigh area.
I can’t stop listening to this song. I love Passion Pit; they are coming to Philadelphia on June 27th, right after I finish my co-op. If anyone wants to go, please let me know!
Last night we went out in Old City to a bar called National Mechanics. It was fantastic, great drinks and atmosphere. Normally I frequent Center City, but I have to say that I kind of prefer Old City. The crowd is a little bit younger and there is lots of dancing plus it is not too far from the PATCO stop; hopefully I will get a chance to get out there again.
Last weekend, courtesy of the Campbell’s Hispanic affinity network, my friends and I had dinner on the museum balcony and a lovely tour of the Art Museum of Philadelphia’s exhibit of Picasso and the Avant-Garde in Paris which included works from Picasso as well as many other Cubist artists. While I am more of an Impressionist fan, it was a great time.
Delicious. This place is one of my favorite Haddonfield restaurants. Great food and drinks. My favorite? The Chicken Roquette
